While April is all about water and Songkran, May is more about the Royal Family, Buddhism, agriculture shows and Fire-Rockets. The actual dates of festivals across the Kingdom are never easy to pin down as they are defined by all manner of calendars and other strange and wonderful reasons see more
While some of the event names may not seem that inviting each festival has its own unique place in the history of the local people.
While each has its own identity they all have a number of traits in common, they all deliver a blaze of colour, along with a deep and rich history and at times more than a dash of fun. One thing is for sure if you are lucky to attend any of these events you will always be surrounded by the warmth of the Thai people.
